Is it possible to swap logic board to a newer model?

Hi, I have a 2011 MacBook Air 13" (A1369) with 4GB ram. is it possible to swap the logic board to a newer one from 2013 or 2014 with 8GB ram?

My concerns are,

1. Is the size and shape similar?

2. Does all ports and Screw holes line up.

3. can I connect the other existing parts to the logic board. Ie. Battery, I/O board, SSD etc.

Thanks.

Here is a listing of all the models in this series: MacBookAir4,2. These are directly compatible with your system. As you can see there is no 8GB systems offered. The Air systems have soldered in memory so there is no means to upgrade it beyond what Apple offered.

You still have an option here as the way the OS works, more SSD storage can improve performance! This is were the SSD module can be removed and upgraded to a larger capacity from what Apple sold. Review this: Transcend - JetDrive 480 or 960GB

Is the logic board from a MacBookAir6,2 not compatible with the MacBookAir4,2 chassis and other components?

While they look the same from the outside they aren't the same inside. Here you can see the layout of the logic board is very different between these series: MacBookAir4,2 & MacBookAir6,2.
