Why has one of my batteries stopped fitting in the camera?

I had 2 batteries. Both the batteries were working alike earlier. I started using my DSLR again after a year. One is working fine. The other, however does not fit into the slot. It does not go completely in and gets stuck which makes it difficult to remove it again. I am not facing any such issue with the other battery. What should I do?

Options

I would replace the battery. It sounds like that battery is starting to fail, and with that, comes swelling.

My battery doesn't fitt in to the slot of the camera. The battery is smaller than the slot given in the camera and the charger as well. Please help me . What I should do ?
