I was trying to pry off my battery and I didn't know that the ribbon cable that runs to my volume controls and vibrator were behind it and I cut the ribbon. Now no buttons on the left side of my phone work. Can I replace this ribbon?

Yes you can replace it, however the integration of the volume controls into a larger assembly makes it a bit hard. This is because you have to get under the logic board and remove the upper assembly bracket/back camera to get to the rest of the connectors. You can follow this guide to help you get to the assembly to replace it.
