Home button ribbon cable is broken, stuck in recovery mode error 53

:(... I tore the home button ribbon cable while replacing my lcd awhile ago, but I ordered a new one. today I saw the new ios update and ignorantly tried to update my phone and got stuck in a recovery mode loop. Now I'm not even sure if this home button I ordered from amazon will fix this issue. Do home button pieces have touchID? Is there a way to boot out of recovery mode? Thanks.

Options

If you tore the long flex, then yes--replacing the long flex and restoring with your original home button will clear error 53.

If you broke your actual home button then no. Amazon home buttons will not clear error 53 and are useless

No other home button will clear that error 53. The one and only way to resolve the error 53 is to reinstall the original home button. if you don't have the original home button or it was damaged, you will have an expensive paper weight.
