Why will my TV not turn on?

TV will not turn on with remote or manually. But sometimes after repeated trys it will come on. Red light will flicker when you push it on but won't turn on unless it sometimes will turn on. Is this an expensive fix or might as well get a new set?

2meads, check the power supply as well as the EEprom solutions on here first. Let us know what you find.
