Why is my power cord overheating?
Power cord & battery over heat. Cord tip that plugs into battery looks like it was burnt. Also have to wiggle around cord for laptop to charge.

When you don't have a solid clean connection it creates resistance that translates to heat. You need to redo the connections to take the play out or eventually the cord will melt and possibly burn.
