Update (10/02/2015)

Which is the correct component for F9800 fuse in... (details are below)

Apple Logic Board: 661-5203

Device: MacBook Pro 17" Unibody Mid 2009

Model: A1297, 820-2610

Serial Number: W******V8YA

Is it 2Amp 32V"' SMD 0402''' Package

or the 3Amp 32V SMD 0603 Package?

Because these pages got me little confused with F9800 & F9700 on the logic board.

But by the fuse dimensions, you are absolutely correct which is 3Amp 32VDC SMD 0603 package.

Should not confuse you. All the links you posted are for different logic boards and different models . Yours is definitely F9800 3A 32V 603 package.

I guess F9800 & F9700 on the logic board... it seems not to identify the constant or indicated components !

That is correct.

Kenneth, here is the location of the fuse. It is a 3Amp 32V in a 603 package. Please remember that this is only to identify the fuse. If the fuse is blown, you will definitely have to check on the reasons why it blew. It's a pretty big fuse and it takes quite a bit to blow it. So check your LCD connector and other components for a short circuit.

Thank you so much for the clear and lucid explanation !!!

This backlight of the LCD monitor has been on and off for last 2 month.

so, I was using my MBP with an external monitor, but in some cases... it becomes a primary monitor...

however... eventually last week, backlight went out!

so, for me... it is an abstruse to conjecture that which component caused the short circuit.

reluctantly, at this point... I would like to put one more chance to my MBP.

Thank you once again for your time and support !

Have a happy wonderful day~~~*
