Screen Black Until I Charge The Phone

I recently replaced a customer's screen/lcd assembly on their damaged Galaxy S6. At first everything worked great but they just contacted me with a problem I've never heard of. The screen "glitches" where part of it turns different colors then the entire screen goes black and unusable. The weird part is she can't use the phone again until the battery dies and she plugs it into the charger. When plugged into the charger the screen shows up as normal. This process repeats every so often.

Anyone ever run into this issue or have any ideas? I haven't tried replacing with a new screen yet, just seeing if anyone has any insight. Thanks in advance!

hi,

given that it seems to work when connected to charger is it possible that the battery is failing under load. Have you tried a different battery?

Sorry stupid comment, obviously not easy to change but maybe thought is still relevant.

That's a good idea actually, haven't tried that but definitely will. Customer is bringing it in Monday. That's the weird part, usually screens work or they don't...they don't pick and chose when to work if they're fully functional. Not a stupid comment at all, actually makes a lot of sense. Thanks!
