dropped phone in water.

I dropped my Samsung in water and it started to vibrate and the back flash kept going on and off so I left it by a air dock for a day then im putting it in rice over night now, will it turn on??

anna gentry, better not even try to turn it on. First off, skip the rice. It does not do anything but provide you with a false sense of security. It is the equivalent of doing nothing. Second, do not try to turn your phone on, charge it or otherwise use it. That could make a bad situation worse.

To fix your phone, you will have to disassemble it. Use these guides to do so. After that, clean every part with 90%+ isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush. Use this guide to show you how to do that.

It was written for an iPhone but all the steps apply to your phone as well. Once you got it all cleaned, reassemble your phone and replace the battery. With all that accomplished, now you can try to restart it and do some more troubleshooting. Until you have it cleaned everything else will only be a guess. Water damage is the hardest to diagnose and to repair since virtually any part may have failed.
