Bought this as no power intending to mend it no look so far.
When opened had already been taken apart 2 screws missing on 1st bracket. No obvious water damage.
Replaced battery.
Replaced dock connector unit.
Not sure what to try next - any suggestions.

My procedure with a "dead" phone with no signs of water damage is to test with another screen, charging port and battery. If possible with a couple of batteries, as sometimes there are faulty ones which wont charge or start the phone. If you have any more batteries I would test with them as well. And I guess you have tried hard resetting?

Not sure yet but thank you for taking the time to reply.....I've probably bitten off more than I can chew...on the back of successfully repairing a few tricky phones I bought this hoping to repair and sell on...I am a little concerned that there is something more serious wrong such as the logic board which I assume means doom....thank you

If it is a logicboard issue, there are people that fix that stuff too... try http://mendonipadrehab.com/ theyre known for miracles :P

Hi thanks .....think they are US based though....wish we had courses here in uk like they offer....
