I dropped it and now I can't turn it off. I keep pressing the power button but it won't turn off. I have to wait for it to turn off itself. You know when you leave it on and don't touch it for a while it turns off it self? That's what I'm doing.

What type of iPad is it. How are you turning it on once it's off. There are a couple of solutions and workarounds for this.

An original iPad. I use the home button to turn it on.
