Battery light on but battery tested ok
The light goes out after the 5 minutes driving?

The "Battery Light" really is telling you the electic power to run the auto is coming from the battery and not the alternator. Check that.

I have th3e same problem. The battery tests at 12.6 V and alternator tests at 15+ volts at the battery posts.

crowder451, if your getting 15+ volts when warm, that is pretty high and regulator may be faulty, check the attached link for good info. and trouble shooting charging system.

My light stays on for at least 5 mins when i slow down the light goes out..what could it be
