4R7 111S chip, where can I get one?

Hi guys

I got a non-working Macbook Air. All parts but the Logic Board are functional. I think it is a "chip" on the board which is broken, because this one gets quite hot when I plug in the charger. The printing on the chip says "4R7 202S" or in the teardown of my model on ifixit "4R7 111S". I have no idea what it is for. Also I can say that the battery isn't charging, the charger just stays on the green LED. Battery and Charger both are working.

Could it be that this chip is the problem? Where can I get a replacement to solder it on?

So it is clear to me now that I need a 4.7uH inductor, but is somebody able to tell me what the resistance is on the one I need? And why does it have 3 soldering points. All the available ones online only seem to have two soldering points...

That looks to be a 4.7 microHenry molded inductor, likely a choke inductor to filter AC from the power circuit. It shouldn't be hot. You should be able to match the part at digikey or mouser using the dimensions and contact points. There isn't any standard packages (that I know of) for SMD inductors like there are for some other components.

Hi. thank you very much for your answer. I think I found the part, but unfortunately you can only order it in a quantity of 500pc. Do you happen to know any similar inductor which is available in smaller quantities on mouser and would also be possible to put on the board of my MBA?

Hi oldturkey, yes I know, but I cannot get that one unless I order 500. do you have an alternative which is in stock on mouser or digikey that will work as well?
