Is the lcd broken or just loose connector?

I dropped my phone, and now the screen only works (kinda) at about 3/4 of its width. The question is: Is the screen broken, or might it only be a loose connector that could be fixed by opening the case and re-attaching it properly?

The glass shows no sign of damage.

Also, I would be grateful if you could point me to a disassembly guide for the phone (note the Moto E 2nd Generation is not built the same as Gen 1)

Options

It could be a bad/damaged display or the connector is loose.

You will have to open the phone to check the connection by fully unplugging it and properly reconnecting it. If that does not work then you know you have a defective display and will need to be replaced. Follow our guide on how to replace the display for further instructions.
