How can I retrieve my photos when my touchscreen is dead?

Hi, I've dropped my iphone 5 and half my touchscreen isn't responsive so I can't type in my pass code to allow access for the computer to access my photos. I'm buying a new phone soon so i'd rather not buy a replacement screen and all I need is the photos off my phone. My phone was running ios8 i think. Appreciate the help.

If you have any cell phone repair shops in your area, stop in to see if they can help. This is a common problem, I've put a old broken screen on a customer phone just so they can remove the pictures in this situation. Many repair places might not want to just give you a old broken screen because those damaged screens are worth about $25. Hope this helps!'

@crapdropphone you will not gain access to your phone by any means for as long as you cannot enter the passcode. So unless you have a backup on your computer anywhere, there really is no way to access your files. Even third part software will not get passed the passcode. Replace the display, remove your files and sell your then working phone to recover the cost.
