iMac Core Duo Processor Replacement in 2015
Hey all,
I'm attempting to upgrade my Apple iMac Core Duo 2.0 20 - Early 2006 - MA200LL - iMac4,1 - A1174 - 2105 processor from Core Duo to Core 2 Duo.
I've done the research and it can be done:
iMac Intel 20" EMC 2105 and 2118 CPU Replacement
Is it possible to upgrade its CPU for a Core2Duo ?
questions
- what is the fastest processor it can take without the logic board replacement?
- what is the fastest processor it can take WITH the logic board replacement?
- where can I look this up?

mayer, thank you very much for the reply.
- so looks like you replaced the logic board and the CPU.
But apparently, if this post is right it's 2.33 will work with the existing iMac 4, 1
