Logo comes on for 7 seconds, off for 3, and nothing else?

I replaced my battery and now this won't get past the blinking apple logo. The low battery icon shows up, then the apple logo for 7 seconds, blank for 3, apple logo comes back for 7, off for 3 and so on.

I can't do the power button/home button trick since my power button doesn't function. I can get the connect to iTunes screen if I hold down the home button for a few seconds (no, iTunes doesn't see it).

Any ideas?

Options

If it was me I would first try another known working battery. Secondly I would replace the power button and get that working again so that you can fully troubleshoot the issue.
