I read here that the Thunderbolt Display has the product serial number printed on a sticker on the hinge mechanism. Where is it exactly? I think the sticker may have been removed from mine.

@mayer Sorry didn't realize there was a separate serial number for the hinge
@beaverme this video shows how to remove the the hing and at 47 seconds in you can see the serial number on the hinge assembly itself

Thank you @jimfixer. The video shows an iMac but it seems reasonable to assume that the Thunderbolt Display is marked is the same place. Unfortunately the hinge on my Thunderbolt Display does not have that label.

The hinge is where the foot connects to the display. You'll need to remove the foot to see it. Its' a real pain to get to.

Removing the stand wasn't too tricky but I cannot see a label on the visible part of the hinge mechanism.
mmm .... Was it a little warm when you bought it ;-)
I'm wondering if the s/n shows up under the hardware profile for the display. That's the only other place I can think off other than pulling off the display assembly off and looking on the logic board.

Turn the display on its back then look at the bottom of the foot
