iPhone 6 not charging via wall adapter nor is recognized in iTunes
Hello iFixit community,
A customer just handed me their iPhone, and they said it will not turn on at all. It was previously thrown to the ground beforehand, causing the LCD to be busted, but not damaging the digitizer at all. I tried to test the phone with a working LCD assembly, but the phone does not turn on either. The first time I plugged the phone into the computer, the computer made a "connecting" sound, but said that "This USB device is not recognized."
What I have tried doing:
-Charging the phone for >2 hours
-Trying different lightning cables to make sure one is not faulty
- Removing the faulty LCD and testing it with a new one
- Making sure the battery connector / lightning cable connector is intact and is not ripped
-Power + Home Button Reset
-Rolling up into a ball and crying because I don't know what to do (jk :D)
I have tried all of the troubleshooting methods above, but none seem to work. If someone could provide assistance on why the phone is not powering on, it would be greatly appreciated. My guess would be an IC problem of some sort?
Much thanks.
