I have bleeding at the bottom of my screen

I just recently had to replace the upper cover on my macbook pro 2011 15" and all seems well except that at the bottom of my screen I now have a weird bleeding problem (see attached picture) ...I've tried resetting pram and sram to no avail and am trying to narrow down what I could've messed up in the repair process.

I have the display cable secured nice and tight but in the process it got a tad bent would this be the issue or would this be caused by something else?

If so should I just buy a new display cable and replace it?

Thanks for your help....guess I'm just trying to figure out if this is most likely hardware or software related. Screen shot

Sadly, your screenshot doesn't show any problems. Can you take a picture with your phone instead.

Ok I just adde one yeah your right it doesn't show up when I take a screen shot which is weird in and of its self

Sadly, you have a hardware issue. Did you spill some liquid into your system? I suspect the video circuit or the ribbon cable from the display is damaged.

Update (02/29/2016)

I would give the circuit board a good cleaning using distilled water (not tap!). Then go over it again this time with a high grade isopropyl alcohol (85% or better). Just make sure you pull the logic board fully out as you'll need to clean both sides. Use a soft toothbrush to help loosen visible spills. Let the board dry a good day in the warmth of the sun on a window sill.

Give that a try first. Let us know how it looks afterwards.

FYI - At this is a internal display issue not a graphics issue the snapshot wouldn't show the problem. Which is why the file looked AOK.

Ok thanks and yes I spilled a drink on it and just replaced the upper case I'm thinking I must have messed up the main display chord as it was only the keys I had an issue w before install.

Is it possible to just replace the display cable?
