Connect to your computer first to see if the computer recognizes you iPhone. if yes then i would get the screen replaced.
I think you need the whole screen replaced. You probably damaged the LCD too when you dropped it.
If the LCD/ Screen is black even if the phone is ON then the LCD is damaged.
Change the whole screen and you should be fine.
