Won't turn on after transferring guts to new case.

Heyo peeps,

I recently dropped my original Nintendo DS and so both hinges were broken (I had dropped it previously, which broke the first hinge). I opted to transfer the components to a new case. I accidently broke one of the speaker cables off at the solder point on the top screen (black one), which I figured I'd fix later, I can deal without sound until I could locate my soldering iron.

I got the thing put together and powered it on, but it only emitted a little 'bip' and would not start up. No green light. Charging still works.

So I figured maybe that little speaker cable was a little more important than I thought. I opened the top back up and soldered it back into place, put everything back together, and tried powering it up again. No dice.

I'm going back through to check that all the ribbon cables are properly seated, but I'm getting a little concerned that I may have damaged the mobo now. If anyone has any advice, that'd be nice. I'll update if I can get the thing to start.

Thanks.

[edit] I'm fairly certain that it was able to turn on completely, even after I dropped it the second time. Didn't start having issues until after the transfer.

[edit] Reseating the cables did not help. I checked the fuses, both are giving a reading, so they are not blown.

[Edit] Since at this point, nothing else appears to be amiss, I think I will order a replacement ribbon cable (the one that runs from the mobo to the top). I have a hunch that that's probably my culprit. Still open to suggestions, if anyone has any.
