Hi ,
Have you checked that the Google Voice typing has been selected and switched on?
Go to Menu > Settings > Language and Input > Google Voice Typing > tap to select check box.(also not sure if your tablet is the same but if there is a 'settings' icon for the Voice Typing, tap it and see what options are available. In my tablet (not the same brand as your) this is where to turn the feature on and off is.
