Even though my device is on, the screen does not display anything.

I am sure that the device is on because of noise, lights and heat, but it only shows a black screen. How do I make the netbook screen display correctly?

Options

If your device is powered on but the screen display is black with no content shown, the screen display might be faulty or recently installed updates or programs could have caused your screen to go black. In order to fix this problem in either case, you will need to perform a manual restart to allow your netbook to reboot. Not sure if you folks want outside class help but in the chance its not a problem you may want to do a static discharge as a lot of times we see this stop a computer from booting . Pull the battery and power source then hold down the power button to drain off any residual power for about 60 seconds then replace the battery and reboot
