Can not get out of safe mode

When the tablet is turned off it powers up with a warning screen about a custom OS, it states to press volume up to proceed and volume down to cancel and boot normal. None of this works, the power button only turns off the screen. To get to the desktop, or to use it I must press the volume up button, then the power button, then the home key and release when the Samsung logo appears. It then turns on, but in safe mode. I have tried many things, factory reset, even letting the device itself change from safe mode to normal and all that happens is it reboots to the Warning screen that I first described above. In safe mode I can not use any apps, but can successfully access the internet and use email. Anyone have a solution??

I think you may need to do a factory reset via recovery by using the power, volume up and home button to boot it. These instructions may be incorrect as they may differ between tablets.

You can try disconnecting the battery for at least a minute or so to drain the mem and get a clean boot . this video shows how to open and disconnect the battery.

I just fixed my Galaxy Tab S3 that was in safe mode and seemed i couldn’t get out of it. I factory reset it and nothing. I tapped the icon in notification to run safe mode off by and restarting , that did not work. I did the whole restart then once the Samsung boot up showed hold down volume down and that was unsuccessful. But after messing with it and turning it completely off, then turning back on i held the power button and volume up, it did a few loops with the samsung logo popping up and then holding down the volume up button until it got to the home screen and Wa-La !!! Safe mode finally turned off. hopefully this helps someone else.

I did turning my Samsung galaxy tab 3 SM-T211 off. Then pressing the power button and volume up at the same time. It works, safe mode is gone on the down leftside of my tablet. But, what if my tablet will be restarted, does safe mode appear again?

And so I tested my tablet, and the answer is yes. Then reapeted the process of disabling safe mode , then it's disabled again.

I also did hard reset, yes it's gone. But again when you restarted the tablet, safe mode appears again. Is there any possible ways to terminate safe mode?

My problem was I had the tablet in a holder and the volume down button was depressed and I didn't know it. You might check to see if your volume down button is stuck.

I had the issue where safe mode was on and anytime I tried to take it off it would take me back to the warning custom os page. HIGHLY ANNOYING! I turned it off holding the power button, volume up and home key (it's a Samsung Tab A) then once it booted back up I held the down button until the home screen came on (I held the down voume button once I put in my password if u don't have a password just hold the down volume button straight away). It worked returned all the apps and the safe mode logo was gone. HALLELUJAH!!!

What I found out that helped me was. Turning on the tablet(power off). Wait ten seconds. Turn on the device and when the SAMSUNG came up hold down the power button and volume down for 15 seconds. ( the device will power on and off).

Dont know if it works on a tablet but my Samsung galaxy phone can be removed from safe mode by holding the power and volume up button till it boots . If this brings no joy then try power and volume down when you get the android symbol and list select boot normally

I will be eternally grateful

for me pushing the power/volume button also did not help to get out of the safe mode.

I got out of the safe mode with "new start" which showed up on my tab when I held the turn-off button longer.

For the Samsung Tab 3 lite turn off the tablet then press and hold power button…once the Samsung illumination logo begins, release and push volume up not volume down. This was a crucial step for me… I was holding volume down forever till I got highly annoyed and decided to try the up button. Works instantly. Irritating safe mode ugh!! Good luck all
