Can ifix this LCD?

Hi, I was trying to fix the yellow tinge issue on my lcd, cracked it, and now have bought a very cheap display on ebay and it's arrived like this:

Is this fixable?

OR should I call it quits and get one of the "A Grade" displays on ebay and take the loss?

There are a few other issues with the diplay, but if i can fix that I would keep it.

The fix I followed for the LCD was here:

So, if I am to open up the display anyway to attempt this again, maybe I can do something about this bleed in the pics above?

Use your eBay Buyers protection program, send it back. It's a Grade F for failing.

That is a plan, but I got the display for £15 + p&p, which is worth spending some time trying to fix (if possible) to avoid spending 10x that amount on a "grade A".

Any ideas on what the problem might be? a cable problem? a filter problem, lcd or backlight?

maybe i can attempt to realign something in the display. There is a chance the seller will just reimburse me half and call it quits. As the listing was no returns. I can even reclaim all my money, but I still have the display to play with and attempt to fix
