No. Unfortunately there are no Official Samsung Firmware released for the SPH-L720 above 5.0.1 which is Lollipop.

You will have to resort to a custom ROM / AOSP rom which is done via rooting your phone, flashing a custom recovery like ClockWorkMod (CWM) or TeamWinRecoveryProject (TWRP) then downloading the ROM firmware and the extra files like Google Apps (GAPPs) to install base google applications along with the custom ROM (usually for play store).

So I believe the issue is resolved now.

@benjamen50 Can you please guide me step by step.

You didn't say anything about Odin. Is it not required this time?

par

No. Odin isn't necessarily required when installing a custom ROM. ODIN is only needed if your phone is not rooted. If you need to root your phone, use the CF-Autoroot file for the SPH-L720 which you flash via ODIN usually.

Usually the custom ClockWorkMod recovery is flashed by using an App called Rom Manager. It requires your device to be rooted to do flashing custom recoveries via that app.

5.1.1 appears to be the latest version. So there is actually no marshmallow it seems yet as nobody appears to have made any custom ROMs for the sprint variant of the samsung galaxy s4 (SPH-L720).

Ohh so Marshmallow is not yet available for my variant of S4.

Thanks

For quite a days I am unable to access my Mobile Data Connection (Sim Internet) from my S4. Do you have any idea why is that so?

par

Either one of the following:

- APN settings not configured.

- Data plan expired / ran out of data.

- No reception / signal.

Double check your APN settings via your carrier network usually you search in google 'network apn settings' Replace network with sim card service provider name.

When did it stop working? And does the baseband version in settings > about phone and IMEI number at settings > about phone > status displayed? (Don't post IMEI here of course).
