I HAVE A COMBO, VHS/DVD PLAYER. Only black and white appears when I play the DVD and nothing appears when I play the VHS. What is controlling this...the machine or the TV(thus do I need a remote control to bring on color....?) thanks,

@deebe1947 let us know the make and model of the DVD/VHS player. What make and model is your TV and most importantly how do you have it connected? Has it worked before? Has anything changed? Be specific and/or even post some images with your question. Use this guide for that
