Where can I purchase a battery? When I turn on the tablet, the screen goes black. At times it gives me a error message to charge the battery.

Thank you,

good afternoon. 5 months ago I bought a best buy tablet from the Digiland 10.1 DL 1036 brand. the tablet no longer wants to charge. Today I went to Best Buy and he tells me that I can contact you, for which product has a year warranty after buying it. I need to know what the next step is?

ifixit has no association with Digiland products as far as warranty repairs are concerned.

As best as I can find out there may only be a 3 month (90 days) manufacturer's warranty on the tablet, as this seems to be the norm for Digiland tablets.

I cannot find a user manual for the tablet online, but if you have the user manual for the tablet the manufacturer’s warranty information should be in there. This should help you to contact the manufacturer regarding warranty repairs, if the warranty is longer than 90 days of course.

If you don’t have the user manual then contact Best Buy and ask them how they get in contact with Digiland as Digiland doesn’t appear to have a customer support website when searching online for it.

If you reach an impasse then you can get advice on this website on how to try and fix it yourself.

Have you tried a different compatible charger to see if it will charge?

Have you tried connecting the tablet to a computer and see if it will charge?

Use a strong light and a magnifying glass and visually inspect the tablet’s charge port to make sure that the port enclosure is free from any obstruction that may be causing a poor electrical connection and that all the pins are there and that they are straight and parallel with each other and not bent or broken.

If there is any obstruction in the port enclosure e.g. lint etc, do not use a pin or metal probe to try and remove it as this may damage the pins. Try using a vacuum cleaner and suck it out instead.

If still no good then the tablet will need to be opened and further tested as to what the problem may be.
