Replaced Broken LCD, now fan always on high and poor function

I replaced my broken LCD with a new LCD on my late 2013 iMac 21.5". Now the fan comes on and runs high. It won't go off. General functionality is poor. Tried resetting the controller but to no avail. Help!!??
