Find out what apps are using the default notification sound
My phone produces frequent notifications using the default sound (which I can set), but I want to find out which apps are generating these default notification sounds.
I have set different sounds for the messaging, calendar, email and alarm , and they work as expected.
I have turned off almost all other app notifications in the Note 5 settings and the ones that are enabled are set for "pop up" messages. In those, there is no setting for sound. It would be great if I had a diagnostic app that listed which apps had which notification sounds assigned. At least that would help. Any ideas?

I had distinctive sounds set for most of the apps I rely upon, and I was able to silence the annoying notifications by setting the default to silent. However, with default set to a particular sound, I still got fairly frequent and irregular default notifications.
Thanks for the tip on using the developer options to check the CPU activity. I think the problem is "com.sec.android.app.sysscope" . However, I don't know what app generates that CPU process. Can you advise?
