How to Erase disabled Ipad thats not connected to Wifi

Hey, I recently got a ipad pro for my birthday, and I hadn't really set anything up all I did was create an apple account and set up touch security. The day after I tried to use my ipad but my finger was not recognised and i'd forgotten the passcode i'd used as I set it up late, so the ipad told my to connected to itunes and erase the data. But my ipad is not connected to the wifi and I have tried to access my icloud but says my acount is not connected to a device, and I have tried to pull the lower tab to connect wifi but theres not tab and i'm really confused on what to do next and I dont really want to have to pay for someone to fix it, but i will as a last resort, and advice is helpful

Solution: Stop stealing iPads. You guys aren't fooling anyone. These are stolen. Anyone selling an iPad that's locked who says they got it legally is lying. It would be worth more if it wasn't locked, so they'd just ask the person they got it from to unlock it.

I have DEP/MDM/Mosyle iPads that I cannot reset because they don't connect to WiFi after a reboot. Why is this done? The whole point of centrally managing devices is so that we are not relying on ex-staff to give us access to devices

Im having the same issue where a staff member forgot passcode and even though it is enrolled in DEP i cannot erase the passcode or even erase the device as it is not connected to wifi.

@Hendrika Meyering We even tried a ethernet adapter but it wanted the passcode entered in order to turn it on.

Luckily we'd set a "5 wrong passwords triggers a reset" so after doing the "Wait an hour before trying again" and then doing another wrong passcode, our iPad reset and then connected etc.

Options

Turn off iPad. Hold home button while connecting the iPad to a computer.

It will show iTunes logo to show recovery mode. Make sure you have iTunes installed.

Open up iTunes and it will notify your iPad is in recovery mode. Restore the iPad when prompted.

It will download the system firmware and the iPad will kick itself out of recovery once because the download takes some time and the iPad only stays in that mode for like 5 minutes if it's not being restored or upgraded in recovery mode.

So if it kicks out of recovery mode you need to put it back into that again by doing the same steps. Do not unplug the iPad during restore or upgrade. Especially when it shows the loading icon or bar.

I have been struggling for months to fix my disabled iPad after kids tried wrong passcode too many times. I did above solution and the entire updating of software l-o-n-g process, it installed / verified etc. the update but when it turned on again, another message saying "iPad disabled, try again after 1 hour". Anyone else experienced this and what to do now, i.e. after the recovery mode and update process already done?

Disabled iPad requires you to restore the device via iTunes not update it as it will keep the screen lock on it.

If you do remember the passcode you can alternatively wait an hour and enter it in.

Uhh, My iPad was disabled but it didn't have wifi connection.. I thought this could work. But I didn't understand, I have the same iPad.. and I did the same thing expect on iTunes it never showed the iPad or phone sign when you put the charger thingy in, what should I do?

@foichi same thing is happening mainly because I can't remember the passcode to my iPhone 7 that I don't have any more I wish I had the phone so I could delete it or change the passcode but I don't.

So I have my sisters I pad and she passed away about a year ago I don’t have any info such Apple ID or password ect… and I can’t ask her unfortunately .so if anyone has. Info on how I can reset??

You probably don't have the bill of sale, but if you do, take it and her death certificate to the Apple store. They should be able clear the password. They will be beligerent, in the worst way, but stick to your guns and don't leave the store until you go through upper management of the store. It's like buying a new car; wear the salesperson down until they finally give you what you want.

If that doesn't work, contact Apple corporate directly (in Cupertino, CA), and plead your case with no uncertain terms that this is really bad marketing. How on earth are family members expected to deal with this?!

Another possibility is to leave it with them and have them unlock it and find some identifying information that only you would be privy to. But they will probably say that is a security liability for them, the employees, and turn you away. In this day and age, it is pure laziness and cowardice. I'm done.

Buy a laptop or if you got a laptop connect ipad charger to the laptop iTunes DON'T CLICK UPDATE CLICK REST

iCloud can appear your iPad only when Find My iPad feather was enabled, and the iCloud account was same as the iCloud on iPad, or we can’t use iCloud to erase disabled iPad. It’s very important for iDevice users to enable Find My iPhone feather when set it up in the first time.

If Find My iPad feather was disabled, you can force factory reset iPad to unlock it.

Or use the Eelphone iPhone Unlock tool to fix disabled iPad in clicks.

I have a problem with my iPad it’s say unavailable and I can’t even touch it to connect it with Wi-Fi it doesn’t work at all but I know my email and password
