What should I do?
My macbook sat on a desk overnight and water dripped near it, not directly on it. About 6 inches away from power cord which was plugged in. Desk was wet when i picked it up but keys seemed dry. I tried to dry it out with a fan for several days and have let it sit for a couple of months. Still no good.
It turns on and I hear fans go on and hard drive but that is it. Nothing on screen no beeps. If I leave it on for a while battery gets fairly warm.
I brought it to apple and they said it could be screen or motherboard. 700 for screen and over 1000 for motherboard.
Should I just pull out hdd and try to retrieve data and move on or is there anything I can do to try and fix this mac.
Thanks

Get the needed tools to pop off your bottom cover. Compare your logic board with the one here: MacBook Pro logic bd (bottom side). If you see something that looks odd take some good hi-res images of the logic board so we can see it clearly and post it here for us to see.
