The phnone simply vibrates 3 times and has a black screen.
Please advise, i don't have an octupus box or whatever the various machines are called to fix this problem and was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this problem without it as having it fixed would not be worth it unless they would do it for like 40 bucks as its a dinosaur.

Have you tried to perform a hard reset on your phone?
Be aware that a hard reset will erase all your user data and downloaded apps. It will restore the phone to a factory default condition.
Ensure that the battery is fully charged before performing a hard reset.
Here is the procedure for a hard reset:
1. Remove the battery, wait for a few seconds, then reinsert the battery.
2. Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then briefly press the POWER/LOCK button.
3. Wait for the screen with the three Android images to appear, and then release the VOLUME DOWN button.
4. Press VOLUME DOWN to select FACTORY RESET, and then press the POWER/LOCK button.
Be patient, a hard reset takes a short while to complete.
