My laptop will wont connect to the internet
when my laptop is connected to the router cable its connected as soon as you pull it out it disconnects

The cable you have connected is the Ethernet cable. It will look like a telephone cable and is probably blue , yellow or gray. It only works when plugged in. You need to connect your wifi. To do this, do the following. Select settings. ( the gear) Select wifi. Select your network from the list( unless you have changed it you will find you password on the back or bottom of the router. Enter the password for your router. Select connect. It should connect you and be listed in the box for wifi. This should solve your problem.
