Upgrading my Android OS...?.

Greetings,.....

I have a Coby Kyros mid7125, running Android 2.3.3 with an ARMv7 Processor rev 2 (v7I), Build number MID7125 20110802. I have rooted the tablet, and interfaced it with my Windows PC.

I would like to upgrade the OS to 4.0 or higher.

Is this possible? If so,....

What is the newest version I could upgrade to, and what would be the best method for doing so?

try cyanogenmod. I don't know how secure it is, but many people use it.

Checked out cyanogenmod. Unfortunately, they do not have anything for Coby, at all. It has been increasingly difficult to find support or information on Coby Kyros models. And for some reason, info/support for my model in particular, MID7125, seems to be almost nonexistent.

But, Thanks anyway. I appreciate the suggestion.

Buy a more well known brand. Like a samsung or ipad. A good rule of thumb is: if your friends haven't heard of the brand, neither have the developers. Or at least most of them.

Gee,...thanks! But, I already figured that out, and smartassery is of No help!!

Still, this was not bought, it was a gift and I'm trying to make it better. It would not have been my first choice, or even in the running.

There's LOTS of stuff out there for the Coby Kyros tablets, but Very little of it pertains to the mid7125. Having to work it based on info for the mid7022, as I understand they are similar models.

But, thanks anyway.
