I put in a game disk in my platform, it makes a noise like its reading it but nothing happens? I can play movies fine, but no games! What can I do to fix that? I have a PS3 Super Slim 500gb.

Hey Ronald, sounds like the laser has gone bad. There are 2 lenses on the laser module inside the CD drive, one for each type of CD. One can go bad while the other continues to function. You can replace this at a lot of repair shops or try it yourself, there are plenty of videos on it. You will need to take it apart and verify the laser model before ordering the replacement, I think they changed the exact model from time to time and they are not universally compatible.

What do you mean by nothing happens? Is it a blank screen, is the disk not showing up in the games row? What games is it with?

It won't show up on the screen where I can select it to play.
