My camera just died!

I've fully charged my battery and when I try to open it, the green light flashes (as normal) but it doesn't open and when I see in the view finder, it indicates that it hasn't charged and the battery is empty even though I've just fully charged it.

P.S: I've tried another battery and it's the same

have you tried using another charger to charge the batteries and checking the voltage levels in the batteries to see if they are actually charged. It could well be that the mains charger is faulty and not charging the batteries properly.

my next advice would be to open the camera up and check the solder joints on the battery contact and motherboard side contacts, sorry there isn't a guide available on how to do this but the D5100 and D5300 are both similar cameras and open up pretty much the same way, so follow the guides on how to open those cameras as best you can.

If restoring camera to its default factory settings will fix this issue then its ok, otherwise visit Nikon D5200 Manual to proceed another solution.

To restoring Nikon D5200 to its factory settings, just hold down the [Menu button] button and the [Information button] button together, until the control panel turns off briefly while the camera resets itself to the factory default settings.
