I added a 2nd SSD in optical drive bay (Data Doubler) in my MB Pro 2012 15.4" Unibody. I've done this on a few MB Pros and iMacs and never had any issues. Now UIOJKLM and > keys aren't working. But before that, WiFi was acting up. I couldn't turn WiFi on in ntwk pref, but now it's fine. Just kybd issue.

Put a piece of tape on the cable, flip up the lock, and pull the cable deeper into the socket, then lock it in place.

My U I O P keys stopped working all of a sudden. Sometimes they would work briefly but then they would stop for prolonged periods. Did exactly as @mayer said .... AND NOW WORKING AGAIN. THANK YOU. YOU ARE A GENIUS!!!!!

@mayer, Thank you so much for sharing that - lost the number keys 1 through 9 after a repair; your tip to use tape to get the keyboard cable deeper into the socket worked a treat.

I have the same problem and it just started today (19 Feb 2017), midway through typing something. 7 u i o j k l m . keys won't type. The rest seem fine.
