How precise do you thing the model number needs to be for a part order

Ok, so my model number is SM-G925W8 (Canadian) and I assume all the parts on ifixit are listed for the American models. I just want to order a USB/Charging Daughter Board, does anyone know how picky I need to be here? or is there an american equivalent to my model number? Also does anyone have any suggestions for which adhesive to use inside the phone when I go to put it all back together?

Update (04/25/2017)

So i recently got a good look at a photo for an OEM daughter board and the part is listed as G925A/W8 so the AT&T board would be the same as the Bell one. Now i just need to find out if the battery is the same across all the versions of the S6 series or if the S6, S6 Edge and the S6 Edge Plus all have different batteries

No, the S6, S6 edge and the S6 edge plus do not use the same battery.

Hope this helps!

Yes have to choose the right daughter board for the carrier. Charging port flex is divided into different carrier. Such as T for T mobile, ATT for at&t and so on. When you open the phone you will alpha numeric code such as

Gv02 Rev.9 on the daughter board near loud speaker section. Order the same one. Also you can use regular adhesive but make sure you don't use super glue. Which gives you trouble in future.

Ok, well my phone was putchased straight from Samsung, but i'm on the Bellnetwork. Would one of the 4 on ifixit ( https://www.ifixit.com/Search?query=S6%2... ) be able to be swapped with mine?

Is it just not charging? Did this happen without a blameable incident?

I do vaguely remember the phone wickedly overheating on my chest in the middle of the night once. The cord was charred (and disposed of) after that. No reason why that should have happened though. Either way the phone's almost 2 years old and i've gotten plenty of pleasant use out of it. I'd like to wait another 6 months or so before replacing it, and i'd like to use it as a mobile media hub (in conjunction with a cgromecast) after that.
