Still there the flash, then the sound but the film is Stuck and won't come out. Please help!

I never dropped it before, it was always well taken care of.

@bbluu0310 ,Baybie Luu , Found this info. at the ifixit trouble shooting link below.

If the film does not come out of the camera, check the back cover and film ejection slot and check if there is anything blocking the photo ejection slot. There is also a mechanical roller in the camera which is used to eject the film from the camera. Once the film is removed, release the shutter to determine if the roller is functioning properly. If camera still under warranty return for repair/replacement/refund. I will also post a link to show how to disassemble the camera to check for poor wire connections, dust, debri, etc. Good luck. I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

I had the same issue, and I had to peel the little sticker off of the top so the film could make its way out.

Also make sure you press the shutter before winding the “practice film” (aka the plain black film that’s not actually a picture) out.

I took the plastic shell off of mine and found that a screw had fallen out and gotten jammed under the lever that pushes the pictures out.

@mendegrace14 How were you able to fix it?

I have an instax mini 8 and when I inserted the new set of film and taken a shot to remove the plain black, it takes a flash but the plain black did not come out. After that, the camera lights turned to red and all of the lights were blinking. I have tried to remove the film out of the camera but it can’t be removed, it seems like it is stuck. The upper part is stuck but the lower part of the cartridge already came out. What should I do? Can someone please help me?

Can the film cartridge be removed out of the instax camera even if it is not used?

Hi! I’m not sure how to add a picture but I just had the same problem and here’s how I fixed it. If you take ur film out at the bottom right on the inside of it there is this silver metal hook type of thing and for me there was a clear piece of plastic stuck to it blocking it from moving so I just removed it and now mine works just fine!

I had a very similar problem, so I took the film out and studied it to realise it was slightly bent in the area which the photo comes out from (I will attach photos) and so I tried the 2nd film and and was absolutely fine!
