Why won't it connect to itunes?

So my ipod says it is disabled and to connect to iTunes. I did so and then iTunes said, "To allow access, please respond on your ipod touch," but the screen won't let me do anything except turn off the ipod :( HEEEEEELPPPP!!!

The same thing is happening to me too. It said it was disabled and I had to connect it to iTunes. I'm only twelve so, I don't know how to work this stuff and when I started my iPod, I didn't use a computer, I made an Apple ID, and put it into settings. The screen isn't letting me do anything, except turn it off :(

Follow these steps:

1- Start iTunes on your computer;

2- Turn off iPod;

3- Wait 30 seconds;

4- Press and hold home button on the iPod;

5- While pressing home button, connect iPod to your computer;

6- iPod will restart. Keep pressing until you see "connect to iTunes" and a cable on the screen of your iPod. At the same time, iTunes will tell you "iPod detected in restore mode" and "Update or Restore."

7- If you know the code of your iPod, click on "update." The computer will download the latest software for your iPod and install it on the iPod. You may (not guaranteed) get the chance the enter the passcode one more time.

(If step 7 is not successful and you are back to "disabled" screen, repeat steps 2-to-6 then skip 7 and go to step 8).

8- If you don't know the code, click instead on "restore" and the software will be downloaded and installed on your iPod but all previous data will be erased. You will also be prompted to enter your Apple ID and password if "Find My iPhone" was on before.

Good luck.

"At the same time, iTunes will tell you..."

What does that mean? I don't have iTunes anywhere on my computer and I've never used it

Padrig, download iTunes on your computer. It is free from Apple. They have versions for Windows and for Mac OS. Then launch it and proceed. Just search for "download iTune for [insert the operating system here, such as Windows - or Windows 10]." You will have many answers. Choose the links that are from Apple only.

Yeah….. I can’t do that because I didn’t start my iPod with a computer. I started it by screen, with my Apple ID but,

the %&![!#& screen won’t let me do ANYTHING, except turn it off!

So I’d love some help right now.
