I took out the hard drive from my macBook Air (a1237) and bought an external enclosure, so I could retrive the data on the hard drive and everything looks good but the ZIF cable that has a blue strip on the end seems to be too thick its almost like it would fit perfectly if the blue strip wasn’t on the cable. Any suggestions ???

I would get a small pocket knife or nail file and lightly shave off some plastic on the connector, so it fits better. I know someone who bought an iPhone case that didn't let the charging cable fit quite right, so she did the same thing and uses that case all the time now.

Just out of curiosity, which enclosure did you get? Also, did you get it to work?
