I have a Macbook Pro 2015 13-inch with water stuck in the glass panel, but the screen itself works normally.
It seems the glass panel has to be broken to be lift off of the LCD.
I think the replacement parts on eBay are for earlier than 2013 Macbook Pro Retina
Can I find a front glass replacement part for the retina model?

Yes you can just replace the LCD panel on Retina models (a lot of people say it is not possible, however it is, just fairly difficult). We do them all the time in the UK, the glass and LCD are stuck together on this model.
Your problem would be with the backlight sheets however; liquid has hit the bottom layer of the backlight sheet and stained it, which usually causes diagonal bright streaks or specks. The LCD panel itself hasn't got liquid in between it (it is completely sealed), may have a bit of liquid on the back of it, but the issue will definitely be the sheets. The sheets can't really be cleaned unfortunately, so the whole lid needs to be replaced. You can buy new backlight sheets, but you have to removed the old screen without cracking it (pretty difficult) and the new sheets are usually dirty, since there is no easy way to handle them.

The transparent layer under the glass panel is the backlight sheet, is that correct?
I cracked it during removal of the panel so I would have to change it.

Hi Alex,
You have removed the top layer of the screen (glass). On the Retinas, the liquid inside the LCD is between the glass and the back layer of the LCD panel. You have got to remove the final layer of the screen (which is the brown colour layer in your picture), then you will see the white backlight sheets underneath. Make sure when lifting this final layer to lift it straight off of the lid, tilting it will cause some of the liquid on that layer to stain the backlight sheets.
You can't buy just the outer glass panel, and you have not completely removed the LCD yet, so remove that and see how the backlight sheets underneath look. Add a picture once the last layer is removed.

Is that white layer the actual LCD? There are stains on it. Does that mean nothing can be done about it?
If so, maybe I can sell the the metal case, and or LCD on eBay? Not sure it worth much.
I also added a photo of what happens when I plug the LCD to the laptop. Nothing but white light and those stains. Does that mean that the LCD is dead or is there still something I have to remove?
It's fascinating and I'm curious to know: How come all colours disappeared, even though all I did was remove those 4 transparent sheets?
No, that is the last layer of the backlight sheets. Watch this video to understand what is the LCD and what are the backlight sheets.
Basically them sheets light up, where as the LCD screen shows the picture, but doesn't actually light up. Buy a new assembly, the backlight sheets are stained and you can't really do anything to resolve that

I think my comrades here are giving you false hope. Yes you can land a rover on Mars, but doing it successfully takes resources I don't have. IMHO trying to repair this for the even experienced technician is not something I want to tackle. It's a waste of time and money. After you try it and spend the money on parts (trying to find them should tell you how little they are in demand), you'll probably just end up buying a complete unit.

Glass only on this model is absolutely impossible, I haven’t seen anyone done it successfully.
Glass+LCD is possible but that makes much less economical sense, since the LCD is a significant part of the cost.
If you got the backlight sheets or clamshell damaged, you might just as well toss the whole thing away.

Its possible but very difficult. You have a high chance of damaging your lcd screen.
You could try removing it and putting it in a large sack of rice to try and suck the moisture out.

buying a complete display unit is what I do
@mayer Well a dollar or 2 for a sack of rice is much cheaper than 500 for a new display.

Rice may we’ll be a valid solution for things completely unrelated to electronics but nobody in this industry would take such a suggestion seriously! All it does, especially in phones or Macs, is give the liquid more time to do more damage while the ill-informed and deluded wait for a miracle!

Tony - I love chicken fried rice!
I would never use it to dry anything as it just doesn't work! Desiccants only pull moisture out of the air they can't affect moisture caught inside a device. A sponge or even a paper towel is much more effective but it needs to be able to wick the liquid out.
