I personally wouldn't, I would follow this guide to opening the iPhone 7 to reduce the risk of damage to the internal ribbon cables.
It comes down to your own personal technique that you develop, you could use it as long as you position it correctly and use it carefully.

After watching most of the video I tried to get back to the Tools & Parts section to order a “Warming -Thing” BUT I can’t see it it’s STUCK in a loop of JUST presenting the video!! Video is king! made so by the morons!!!
