Broke logic board while replacing screen

Hi guys,

as the title says I attempted to fix the screen of my fathers iPhone 6s. (I only ever changed the screen of my iPhone 5s before).

However, I stupidly didnt plug off the battery connector, so I guess that I broke the logic board.

My question now is wether there is a way to diagnose wich components on the logic board are broken or if there is no other way than replacing the whole thing.

@moodlehump sounds like you have a blown FL4211 (240ohm 350mA 0201 package) backlight filter. Check this video on how to check the filter and what to look for.

Update (07/08/2017)

@moodlehump post a couple of good images of your connector. Let's see if you bend the contacts and caused a short. Use this guide for that

Thanks a lot for your answer! I dont have a multimeter or any of his tools though, but I found another way to check for the backlight issue (disconnect battery, reconnect, plug in lightning cable and check for the apple logo with a bright light).

Unfortunately though I cant see the logo, so there seems to be another issue.

Tbh, I might have destroyed the FPC connector as well when trying to reassemble the iphone (by using unnecessary force). When I plug in the three flex cables from the screen, the other two "click" in nice but the FPC doesnt give the same feedback when connecting and comes loose easily. Is there a way to check for that as well?
