Clear image, but no touch...its not the LCD and its not the connector.

Hey everybody!

I have an Iphone 6s here with no touch...I tried two good known displays (have an other Iphone 6s here to test it) but no luck. Also I soldered the second new connector now...everytime same result, clear image but no touch...

I know, that the Touch-IC itself is on the display, so what should I check for next step now? On the connector, only the right-side is for touch, right? So I checked all filters, wich are belong to the pins of the right-side of the connector, but all have continouity...

Let's back up here...

Was the lack of Touch the original problem? Did you solder two new connectors before or after trying the "known-good" screens? Finally, which filters exactly did you test?

The obvious comment to make here is to insure that your connector is properly soldered in place. Double check all of the pins to insure they connect electrically to the pads.

You are correct that the Touch IC is now on the display. So in your case I would focus on insuring that the Touch IC is getting the power that is needed. Have you looked at the PP5V7_MESON_AVDDH, PN5V7_LCM_MESON_AVDDN, PP1V8_TOUCH & PP5V1_TOUCH_VDDH lines (filters and associated circuitry)?

On the same page of the schematic (pg 30), there is also a section titled "AP TO TOUCH INTERFACE". There are several communication lines that are also filtered. If one of those is damaged or shorted, you would also lose Touch.
