Is Tristar IC 1610A3 interchangeable with 610A3B?

The 1610AX are all cross-compatible although it's preferable to use an A3 in place of the older 1610A2 & 1610A1. As for the 610A3B, it can also be used wherever an 1610AX was installed. I would not use an 1610AX in place of the 610A3B in an iPhone 7 though ( I haven't tried it personally but some have reported is does work).

I just tried a A3 on a IP7 and had no joy , tbh i did just dive in and change out tristar after a new port and battery didn't work and pp_bat and vcc_main read normal, will investigate more tomorrow.

I just replaced 610AB3 with a 1610A3 Works fine.This is on Ipad Pro 10.5".
