My replacement iPhone 7 screen seems washed out?
I got my iPhone 7 screen replacements and the screen seems washed out and apple won't repair it?

Just wanted to answer this for any one else looking for an answer for this problem. I had the same problem when I got my iPhone 7 Plus screen fixed. It looked washed out and not as vibrant. Go to settings, go to general, then to accessibility and then to display accomodations and put the reduce white point to a higher percentage. Hope this helps someone that had this same problem that I had!

I think this option is very good for iPhone 6S/S+ and below. iPhone 7 and upwards is a little bit lower in white intensity. As minimum white point percentage is 25% i feel it is to much for iPhone 7 wich make it appear greyish.
NOTIS: However i got a very good grade knock off screen and isn’t as blue as the knockoffs for 10-12 USD.
what if the color is too dark like instead of looking normal your pictures with dark places or spots come out way darker?

Go back to the shop where you got the replacement screen and tell them you're not happy with the quality of the replacement screen and ask for them to put your original screen back on the phone then go to Apple for an OEM screen.
Technically, Apple is not allowed to decline your repair just because you have an aftermarket screen on the device, however it will be more expensive since they won't be getting back your original LCD to refurbish.

Is there any risk going back to the shop and having them put the original cracked iphone screen on? I had the same thing happen to me where I said I was dissatisfied with the repair and theyre willing to refund and put back my old screen.

If it was not don'e by an apple certified repair shop then there is almost a certainty that it is an aftermarket screen,. These screens rarely have the same color temperature and resolution as the original ones.
You can try to adjust the temperature a bit using nightshift mode or by adjusting the white balance and transparency in the accessibility options in settings

some repair shops get the original screens refurbished so the colors will be the same .

I had my cracked iPhone 8 Plus screen replaced with an aftermarket screen today and I had the same issue where the new one looked bluish. I did some digging and learned that the auto-brightness and “True Tone” features are disabled on iOS 11 and 12 when you replace the screen, even if you replace it with a new certified iPhone screen from an identical model, unless it is calibrated by a proprietary tool (of course, thanks Apple). While if you didn’t go to a certified repair shop the screen is likely of lower quality, the major difference here is with native iOS settings. I’m hoping this will be resolved in an upcoming update, but the problem has been around for a while so it seems like it may be on purpose.

After replacing the WiFi / GPS antenna on my iphone 6 last week I think the colours on my phone seem washed out as well. The process involved removing the screen from the phone body to carry out the repair.
When I reconnected the screen and powered up the phone I thought that the colours on the screen seemed a bit washed out and just not as vivid as before the repair. It was the original screen that was on the phone and not a replacement screen so I don't know what has caused this?

Check settings, general, accessibility, increase contrast and see if darken colors is checked. Made a huge difference in my 6s I had a screen replacement done third party. All the other iPhones in my house from a 5c to an 8 plus had this enabled.
