One of the keys ("C") on my Apple wireless keyboard broke. Where do I buy a new "C" key and how do I replace it?

Thanks

1. Slide a thin, non-marring tool such as a fingernail under the top edge of the keycap.

Depress the bottom edge of the keycap.

Rotate the keycap up with increasing pressure until the two top clips are released from the scissor.

Invert the keyboard and jiggle the key to release the lower hinges.

Keycap Replacement

Drop the keycap into place.

Jiggle the key to seat the lower pivots.

Press down with increasing pressure until the top clips click into place.

You can get a key here at amazingly high prices: http://www.welovemacs.com/apwialreke.htm...

Consider searching eBay for a better price. Look for Apple Aluminum Replacement Keys. I found four listing for under $5

UPDATE - Here's the teardown of the keyboard I did last night: Apple Wireless Keyboard (A1255) Teardown

Thank you, but the keycap is made of plastic , not aluminum and has already fallen off. So i think I just need to find a new keycap. The mechanism on the seating end of the keycap looks a bit complex, but I hope pressuring it into place will work.

Thank you for your advice

All the keys for all the Apple keyboards are plastic. The "Aluminum" refers to the name of the keyboard as the frame is made of aluminum.

After doing this teardown, I now have a full set of keys

This simple fixit text did me good!

Even a slightly-marring tool helped me, a small flathead screwdriver for lifting up the top part of the H- and J-key, until I got a better grip with just my fingers - wiggle, and pop! The key cap came off. (I got my hands of a wireless keyboard where the H and J keys were switched, for some crazy reason) and now it workes like a charm. I just popped the caps back onto the two keybases again, "k-pop, k-pop". Lovely.

I am trying to replace the 1 and 2 keys on n A1314 (which broke off due to shipment w very poor packaging).

I read the scissors are oriented differently on different Apple devices/models...

On this model, there's a single lower pivot and two upper ones, so I'm assuming I should reverse this: "Jiggle the key to seat the lower pivots." Tried it. The scissor mechanisms were already too broken. Annoyingly, laptop-keys have videos, but they're behind a paywall. welovemacs.com site is gone (displays "Sorry, this shop is currently unavailable.") but domain is still registered. Will try Mayer and eBay... Or not - Mayer's 1255 keycaps will have the wrong orientation and I need the caps and the scissors. For now, I used a piece of clear tape over 4 keys in a row, which makes it functional and bearable for a while. Thanks, Mayer! ... ordered off eBay.

I have used laptop-keys before and they are great but you can find the keys much cheaper on eBay. Here's one for example http://www.ebay.com/itm/281064247677?ssP...
